Compassion, transparency, and respect are the foundations for my practice. In this safe space, my hope is you will learn new skills and discover your strengths. My role is to sit with you as we explore and process what’s been happening along your journey.
Compassionate Soul Counseling has been a dream of mine for what seems like forever. I’d like to share with you how I got here. I have always found my comfortable place in helping others whether that was in 4-H as a youth mentor or volunteering in various organizations just listening. I have a genuine interest in the stories of people.
I received my undergraduate degree in Social Work and started my career as a supportive counselor. Throughout my career I worked as a case manager and director of services in various community agencies. My experience includes providing support and counseling services to domestic violence survivors, individuals living with HIV/AIDS, and those living with various developmental disabilities including traumatic brain injuries.
I returned to college as an adult student with a family and a full time job, talk about life transition, I get the struggle! I earned my Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling in 2016. I earned my license in NYS in 2018 and became certified to provide telehealth counseling services in FL in 2021.
I have been fortunate to train and work with several mental health professionals with expertise in healthy relationships, communications, anxiety, trauma, substance use disorders, life transitions, and grief. In September 2020 I was informed the program I had been working through since 2016 would be closing a few months later. It was time to open my practice. In October of 2020 I launched Compassionate Soul Counseling as and realized my dream.
I am humbled and honored to do the work that I love every day.
