Compassion, transparency, and respect are the foundations for my practice. In this safe space, my hope is you will learn new skills and discover your strengths. My role is to sit with you as we explore and process what’s been happening along your journey.
Compassionate Soul Counseling has been a dream of mine for what seems like forever. I have always found my comfortable place in helping others, I have a genuine interest in peoples story’s.
I started my career as a supportive counselor working in a residential program for adults living with serious mental illness. Throughout my career I worked as a case manager and director of services in various community agencies. My experience includes providing support and counseling services to domestic violence survivors, individuals living with HIV/AIDS, and those living with various developmental disabilities including traumatic brain injuries.
I returned to college as an adult student with a family and a full time job; talk about life transition, I get the struggle! I earned my Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling in 2016.
I have been fortunate to train and work with several mental health professionals with expertise in healthy relationships, communications, anxiety, trauma, substance use disorders, life transitions, and grief. In September 2020 it was announced the program I worked in was closing I realized it was time to open my own practice. In October 2020 I launched Compassionate Soul Counseling.
I am humbled and honored to do the work that I love every day.
